Temperate: Early spring – outside after frost danger has passed

Germination: 7-14 days

Depth: 6mm deep

Position: Full sun; bushy, may require staking

Sow where: Into seedling pots; liquid feed once germinated

Soil type: fertile, well-drained, pH 5.8 – 7

Rows: 90cm apart

Spacing: 45 – 60 cm between plants

Details: To transplant: remove seed leaves, plant deeper, up to the 1st set of true leaves; this increases rooting and spreads maturity; keep well fertilized and evenly watered.

*Notes: Plants need staking. Prune plants to two main stems. Keep well watered. Pick when mature to encourage more fruit. To reduce the risk of disease do not water overhead.
